Tournament Rules

2008

Highlights

  1. Tournament teams may not fish on the day of the Perchmaster Classic before 7AM! This will be one of the questions asked in the polygraph exam of the winning team's designated leader.
  2. Due to the size of the tournament and the number of teams weighing, teams are asked to approach the weigh-in table with no more than 6 perch. We will sort one fish if necessary on the scales, but no more… Tournament officials will continue to sort for lunker if requested.
  3. We will limit the size of teams to 4 members or less, but all must fish in the same boat.
  4. There continues to be no Team-Leader sign-in the morning of the tournament with the polygraph in place.

Rules

  1. Perch must be alive! Determination of whether an individual fish is dead or alive will come down to the majority vote of five different team leaders.
  2. Only perch caught from Seneca, Keuka, and Canandaigua Lakes on the day of the tournament, April 12th, 2008 are eligible.
  3. Tournament Hours: Teams can be on the water as early as they choose, but fishing can only take place between 7AM and 4PM, on April 12th, 2008. Teams who wish to weigh in fish must be IN the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club by 5PM sharp on April 12th, 2008.
  4. New York State fishing regulations will dictate the techniques allowed.
  5. Teams will weigh in their Largest 5 Perch.
  6. Teams will also weigh in their “Lunker” Perch. Once again, we ask that teams only approach the weigh-in table with no more than 6 perch. We will continue to offer sorting of a team's lunker and one “close” fish.
  7. The Tournament Director’s decisions are final

There will not be a rainout/blowoff date for this event. One reason we include the smaller Keuka and Canandaigua Lakes is to address a high wind forecast.
